I'm not religious, but this new journal name was based on a hymn that was played at my grandparents (yes both) funeral when I was in 5th grade. I deleted my old journal because it was based on a relationship, and abandonned my other journal because I wanted a fresh start. The one journal was a BDSM journal, the other was for my vanilla friends. Well if they can't take it, too bad. This is my fresh start, and this is the hymn that inspired it:

In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree;
In cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free!
In the cold and snow of winter there's a spring that waits to be,

There's a song in every silence, seeking word and melody;

I've deleted each of the lines that have to do with god, because I'm pretty sure, at this point, I'm atheist.


Some of you have known me before, and know some specifics about past relationships and some of you haven't. That doesn't matter. Ask if you have questions, if I want you to know I'll tell you.

This journal is me. Not my relationship(s), not my lifestyle, not my sexual preference, just me--or the parts of me that I put in here, and how much of yourself can you really share with people over the internet? A person is much more than her thoughts, feelings and words--especially which describe only parts and snapshots of her life.

All I ask is that you remain compassionate, sympathetic, and kind. If you need to be truthful and blunt, by all means, but I do not respond well to disrespect, insults or close mided people who feel the need to judge others. Please, tell me what you think, in a constructive way. If you can't do this, I ask you to simply keep your comments to yourself.
